Miami-Dade Transit Authority Bus Facilities Monthly Operation and Maintenance

CEI performs monthly Operation and Maintenance (O&M) inspections of fuel tanks and dispensing, steam clean and washwater recycle systems at three MDTA Bus Facilities. The equipment includes:

• Aboveground storage tanks
• Submersible pumps
• Air-operated diaphragm pumps
• Electronic tank level and leak detection systems
• Pump sequential control panels
• Trench drain filters
• Aboveground oil/water separators (OWS)
• Underground grit chambers
• Underground containment sumps
• Emergency generator day tanks
• Ultraviolet light disinfection systems
• Sanitary sewer connections

In addition, quarterly and semi-annual sampling and laboratory analyses of OWS effluents are conducted for compliance with Miami-Dade County Sewer Discharge Standards. Groundwater monitoring wells are sampled for Department of Environmental Resources Management compliance.
