CEI was awarded a Hazardous Material Removal and quick response contract for MDAD airports to perform asbestos abatement, air quality remediation including mold abatement; contamination soil removal, transportation and disposal; installation of storage tanks; PCB transformer removal; lead paint removal; all petroleum hazardous material handling; and removal of abatement of anything that is or may be considered an environmental hazard. At MIA Concourse BC, environmental remediation of hydrocarbon impacted soil was performed, and sewer lines were installed. At MIA Terminal E, CEI completed abatement of asbestos containing floor mastic in the HVAC mechanical room and the equipment storage area. At MIA, Milam Diary Drive and 12th Street, CEI handled the loading, transportation and disposal of contaminated crushed concrete. At MIA Taxiway K, drainage and dredging with transportation and disposal of contaminated soil was performed. AT MIA, UPS Building 807, 385 CY of contaminated soil was remediated and disposed of at a licensed waste disposal facility (CEMEX). Finally, at MIA, MDAD Building 881 & 883, CEI completed asbestos abatement and closure reporting of 2 unoccupied buildings.
