CEI conducted excavation activities for installation of underground electrical duct banks including service lines, main FPL feeder and site lighting. We formed and poured more than a 1,000 linear feet of underground electrical duct banks. Excavation activities were conducted for installation of cathodic protection system. We also graded and compacted excavation activities associated with fuel line, electrical duct bank, and cathodic protection system installation. Approximately 16,000 cubic yards of fill material was transferred and site restoration activities was conducted (i.e., paving and sodding).
CEI also conducted oversight of the underground jet fuel line installation (as the Pollutant Storage System Contractor). Conducted the pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of the carrier and containment jet fuel piping, aboveground and underground. Prepared the fuel flushing plan in order to introduce fuel into the system and test fuel quality. Conducted fabrication of 14” and 16” fuel lines to tie-in the new hydrant pump station at the South Facility into the existing system.
