CEI completed a Hydrogen Fuel Cell project for Plug Power at the Tomah, Wisconsin Walmart Distribution Center. Working under extremely tight deadlines, our crews worked diligently in sub-freezing weather throughout November and December, completing the project on schedule and before heavy winter set in. The work included installation of hydrogen compressors, high pressure hydrogen gas storage cylinders, a liquid hydrogen storage tank, cryogenic liquid pumps with cascade piping, a high pressure and low pressure vaporizer, dispenser units, air compressors, an air dryer and high pressure hydrogen tubing at the outdoor hydrogen equipment pad and to, on the rooftop and inside one (1) 11 AC building and one (1) 8 AC building. CEI also performed all of the excavation work and formed, placed and finished the concrete pads for the associated equipment. In addition, CEI completed all of the associated electrical work for the new service and all new equipment. The fuel cells replaced lead-acid batteries in forklifts in order to improve warehouse efficiency and eliminate noxious emissions within the buildings.
