Early last month a handful of our employees devoted their Saturday morning to helping out at the Miramar Community Garden!
They worked up a sweat prettifying and organizing the southwestern corner of the garden: lugging and rearranging packs of compacted soil onto new pallets for a display, clearing a path of miscellaneous tools and props, and recycling materials all while narrowly avoiding run-ins with peaceful ant colonies!
The Miramar Community Garden serves as Broward County’s first “micro farming system,” sustainably growing economically and environmentally friendly fruits and vegetables. If you wish to learn more, volunteer, or become a member, connect with them through Facebook.
