	ENGINEERING Construction & Planning
	Environmental Remediation Our projects include design and construction of soil and ground water remediation systems using technologies such as pump and treat systems, air sparging, soil vapor extraction, multi-phase vacuum extraction and natural attenuation.
	Permitting A CEI principal led the effort for the Standard Operating Procedure Manual for Obtaining a Site-Specific Dewatering Permit at Miami International Airport, reducing construction delays at the airport.
	Modeling CEI's principals were also responsible for the Dewatering Model Report for the Jet Fuel pipeline corridor for MIA. This project involved evaluating the effect of dewatering on existing contaminant plumes and developing a 3-dimensional groundwater model to determine the dynamic effects of the proposed dewatering pumping. This resulted in immense cost savings to our client.
	Stormwater Management CEI has prepared the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans for major clients including the 2 largest South Florida airports - MIA and Fort Lauderdale. CEI has also completed Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, Facility Response Plans and Natural Emergency Plans.
	ISO Support CEI was a member of the team of consultants that assisted the Miami-Dade Aviation Department to attain ISO 14001 certification for its jet fueling facility.

	CEI is a General Contractor and performs heavy construction services. We also act as the Owner’s Representative, supervising and managing construction performed by other contractors. We are Owners and operators of our own heavy equipment. A Design-Build Firm, saving you time and money and the anxiety of dealing with several parties. CEI has also prepared the Facility Response Plan, the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan, The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and the Natural Emergency Plan for the MIA Jet Fueling Facility - a 25 million gallon fuel storage facility. 	Alternative Fuels Cherokee Enterprises, Inc. is a leader in the field of alternative fuels and one of its principals is an active regional board member of the Gold Coast Clean Cities Coalition. We have extensive knowledge of the industry and established business relationships within the regulatory community. CEI designed a 770 cubic feet per minute compressed natural gas fueling facility at Miami International Airport. We have compiled a database of the Mid-Atlantic Alternative Fuel Vehicle Regional Refueling and Maintenance Directory for Compressed Natural Gas for stations in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. CEI maintains a high level of involvement in existing and emerging Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) technologies.

	Environmental Compliance CEI’s staff is ready to guide you through the regulatory maze – from Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) audits for your NPDES permits, to monitoring well inspections for your Industrial Waste permits. Our technicians are dispatched to your site to make sure that you stay in compliance with the environmental requirements for your facility. We establish your annual compliance testing, auditing and submit the reports to you with adequate time for you to forward them on to the appropriate regulatory agency.
		Emergency Preparedness CEI was a Member of the team that developed and implemented the 2004 exercise scenario for the Southeast Domestic Security Task Force. The exercise challenged local, regional, state and federal Emergency Response resources. Our firm had active roles in the Planning Conferences, Tabletop Exercise and the “Hotwash”. CEI has also written the Facility Response Plan for a “Significant and Substantial Harm” facility and has conducted Tabletop exercises for the Fire Departments, Police Departments, Area Hospitals and other Emergency Responders of this facility.
