Week 20: A Win-Win Solution

Constructive negotiations occur where there is the following:

  1. Flexibility – People get a chance to share their perspectives and are taken seriously. They become less attached to being right and holding on to their original positions.
  2. New solutions – Dog deeper beneath entrenched positions to discover deeper interests. People discover new information that reshapes their positions.

This week approach conflicts with respect for the other person. be flexible and examine mutually beneficial solutions.
