CEI Participates in the Purina Walk for the Animals 2010

CEI recently took part as the CEI Pack in the Purina Walk for the Animals in Bayfront Park on February 20th 2010. The CEI Pack raised a total of $1,400 (plus a corporate match of $1,000) for the Greater Miami Humane Society who hosted the event. The event drew in thousands of animal lovers who support the efforts of the Humane Society as a “no kill shelter,” and a non-governmental funded organization.

Monies brought in from Packs alone were close to $40,000; however, the event fell short of goal by a few thousand dollars. The Humane Society still needs our help; the more people out in the community raising money and awareness of the Humane Society of Greater Miami, the more animals it can save. The Humane Society of Greater Miami does not receive any funding from the federal agencies or any other animal welfare organization.
